More About Jessie Back to Directors Jessie McGrath Jessie brings her rich experience, grounded in both environmental technology solutions and policy, to TerraNautics. Her previous roles include serving as the Manager for the Conservation Intelligence Program for National Geographic, the Ocean Policy Specialist at the National Science Foundation (NSF) and Policy Advisor for the White House Subcommittee on Ocean Science and Technology, and a Marc Hershman fellow specializing in working with communities to identify climate change adaptation and coastal hazard strategies.

Jessie holds a Master’s in Marine Affairs from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in marine biology and political science with a focus in policy from the University of Oregon.



As Co-Founder and Director of TerraNautics, Jessie applies her multidisciplinary background to identify technological solutions, fortify alliances with international and local networks, and catalyze communities to promote conservation and climate change resilience while curtailing wildlife crime and human-wildlife conflict in Protected Areas (PAs) – both terrestrial and marine.



More About Keith2 Back to Directors Keith’s work assessing, designing, and deploying effective programs around protected area management and wildlife law enforcement has spanned Africa, Asia and Central and South America. He has received international recognition for these efforts from several organizations and been sought out by government institutions and the private sector to offer both strategic and tactical guidance. Keith has extensive experience working with government institutions and enforcement agencies providing assessments, training, and advice on frontline wildlife protection. He currently serves as an advisor to multiple national committees on wildlife law enforcement and community upliftment, sits on the advisory boards of ForRangers, NatCap and Conserve and previously served on the Tanzania Natural Resources Forum.

Keith's practical experience is underpinned by his strong theoretical background, holding a degree of Masters in Science: Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies, and an Undergraduate Degree in Nature Conservation.
When not protecting wildlife and preventing illegal activity Keith enjoys going on expeditions in remote locations and being involved in extreme ultra-sports to promote ranger welfare.

Slide Associates Andrew Parker has spent the past 25 years working to advance conservation in Africa. He holds an MSc degree in ecology from the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa) and has extensive experience in both the private and public protected area management sectors. Andrew worked as CEO of both Welgevonden and the Sabi Sand Private Nature Reserves in South Africa where he gained first-hand experience of all aspects of protected area management from finances to law enforcement and everything in between. After five years at the coalface of innovative conservation development, Andrew left African Parks to Join Conservation International (CI) as Senior Director of Conservation for Africa, driven by a firm conviction that enduring conservation solutions require the involvement and empowerment of local communities as nature’s ultimate stewards. Andrew was promoted by CI to Vice President of Strategy and Programs for Africa in July 2019 before resigning in March 2020 to lead the development of ConServe, driven by a sense of urgency to address the crisis unfolding around vacant concessions. Andrew believes firmly that conservation can and must be part of the solution with respect to Africa’s development agenda and is committed to promoting the value of the continent’s wildlife and wild places as a source of enduring value for her people. Cody launched from a background in sustainable agriculture as a native Montanan in the more rugged parts of the greater Yellowstone ecosystem. With an education in electro-mechanical systems and engineering, he found his advocation in using grass-roots knowledge to bring technology solutions to wild spaces. All while filling his vocation doing conservation-focused work from Africa, to Central and South America for the National Geographic Society, Moore Foundation, and more. Specializing in delivering end to end solutions bringing data-driven conservation metrics to critical doers in the space with the latest in Artificial Intelligence, IOT, global connectivity solutions to fill information gaps.

Slide Lindsay has been working in the environmental sustainability field for nearly 20 years. As TerraNautics’ Lead Technical Editor, Lindsay brings her extensive analytical and writing experience to the TerraNautics Team. Lindsay has a broad background in environmental sustainability and international development, including providing corporate cloud-based sustainability engagement programs, implementing renewable energy solutions to reduce energy-poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa, performing greenhouse gas accounting and sustainability reporting, authoring technical reports on climate innovation for International Governments, managing university sustainability, and teaching collegiate sustainability courses. Lead Technical Editor Lindsay M. Walsh More about Lindsay Slide Lindsay has worked in the environmental field across different organization types, industries, and locations around the world. Among her previous experiences, she served as the Director of Product Development for Sustain3, supporting corporate clients pursuing green building certifications and sustainability goals, and served as the Manager of Sustainability for American University, where she supported the development of a Climate Action Plan (CAP) to lead the university on a path to carbon neutrality. Lindsay performed 6 annual greenhouse gas inventories and analysis for Summit County, UT, following on her Greenhouse Gas accounting
work at American University.

Lindsay also brings her deep background in renewable energy and international development to TN. Lindsay spent 7 years working for the International Finance Corporation/ World Bank Group helping to implement the project Lighting Africa, a large market development program to provide sustainable off-grid lighting solutions to billions living in energy poverty. Lindsay has also worked as a residential solar installer in Vermont, designed community-led energy development projects in rural Nicaragua, and taught courses on solar, biofuels, and practical environmentalism at American University in Washington, D.C. Lindsay holds an applied engineering certificate in Renewable Energy Technologies and dual Master’s degrees
in Natural Resources & Sustainable Development and International Affairs from American University in Washington, D.C. and the United Nations University for Peace in Costa Rica. She resides with her husband and three children in mountains of Utah, enjoying the vast outdoors.
